Hello,

Could someone please evaluate my profile and give me some advise on how realistic my MBA choices are?

Age: 23
Sex: Male
Work: experience over 2 years, working in M&A at a bank in London
GMAT: 710 AWA 5.0
Education: Excellent results at school, Uni: finished from a top 3 B-school in UK with BSc Accounting and Finance (65%) (2:1)
Languages: speak 3 European languages
Excellent extracurricular activities during university holding management positions (president at school representing thousands of students for 3 years at education minister level, head of largest university society, etc.)

I am hoping to apply to:
HBS
Stanford
Insead
MIT
Chicago
Yale
HEC
Oxford

Hello,

You're on the young side in terms of whom those schools tend to accept, but that's okay, because you can always wait an extra year or reapply if needed. Since you're younger, I would say HBS and Stanford are the most likely to be interested in your profile, although of course those are also two of the very hardest to get into. I say maybe take a shot at them this coming year, and if that doesn't work out, then aim more broadly in another year or two.

They're definitely a reach, but keep in mind that their acceptance rates are on the order of 10%, so don't be discouraged by that -- just be realistic!
