Due to dual responsibilities (although not a Direct supervisory role) and my achievement in establishing and streamlining Treasury functions in the above mentioned countries, got a promotion earlier this year. Hi farjad00,

The schools you have listed are all world class institutions. One thing to consider is where you want to work post-graduation. As an example, if you know you would like to work in New York post-graduation, Columbia and NYU Stern would be excellent schools to look at as well.

In regards to your candidacy, you have a strong application. Your recommendations and personal essays are going to be critical, and just as importantly you will need to present your personal brand well. What do you want an admissions team to think of after they have reviewed your application?

Hope to hear from you.

Cheers,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team

Thanks Conrad and team for the prompt reply and guidance,

As far as my preference for post-MBA work goes I personally would like to come back and work in the Middle East in the long-term but before that I am wiling to work wherever the job takes me. But I would love to be associated with a top-class brand which is as instantly recognizable in this region as it is anywhere else in the world. For that specific reason I would love get into Stanford, Wharton or LBS.

As far as my recommendations go, I am confident of getting very positive recommendations from both of my supervisors. I believe coming from a very modest (first generation college student), humble, and compared to many other candidates in top MBA programs, unique background, I can add to the diversity of such programs. Also, I have experienced leadership roles during every stage of my life (my current roles also involve elements of leadership) which I can also add to my application and personal essays.

Taking above factors and my profile into account, I would like to know whether I stand a realistic chance of getting into any of the above mentioned schools. I understand all the applicants to these programs are very accomplished and competitive individuals, I would appreciate if you can let me know whether I have the profile to be able to make the cut. If not can you please let me know the schools in which I stand a realistic chance of getting in.

Appreciate your candid response and all the time and help you guys have afforded me

Thanks
