MBA Target Programs: MIT Sloan, Columbia, INSEAD, and of course H/W/S
I already applied for MIT R2, I plan to apply for J-term 2013 at Columbia and INSEAD. As for H/W/S, I am aware that international applicants are usually discouraged to apply R3: nevertheless I was evaluating this option as I fear that waiting for next R1 could be too late (for my age). What do you think about it?
Thanks in advance,
all the best

Hi,
You have a strong profile for all these programs
Round 3 at H/W/S is fiercely very competitive, if age is the only concern, than i think you should not worry much about being 28/29 and apply in round 1.
The only problem is that if you do not get through round 3, and later when you apply to round 1 in next few months, you would have nothing much to add in your profile, so if you think your only concern is AGE, i would suggest you to apply in round 1 , you will have great chances to get in.
still, if you want to take a chance, apply with very very strong essays and recommendations, in round 3, i have never seen run of the mill profiles getting in ( especially international applicants )
Last but not the least, you gotta decide also where you wanna settle post MBA - i see combination of US schools and INSEAD, i am saying this particular because when your profile and GMAT are strong, you easily get into one school and start getting confused as to where do you wanna go ? so better decide first ( just a personal suggestion ), I have seen people ending up choosing wrong school just because of lack of patience.
Let me know if i could be of any help
Good Luck
