I suppose he's talking about CBT Toefl... 270/300 is an exceptionally high score.

I'm not able to evaluate the profile because I'm not familiar with MBA admissions, but rather with PhD admissions. If he were a Phd aspirant he would have a quite good profile.

I have a question about the relationship between MBA and Phd. A strong Phd candidate is also a strong MBA candidate? Or the two admission processes are strongly different?

akhileshbhatti,

Here is the percentage of the entering class of each school that had one year or less of working experience:

Rochester: 57%
UC Davis: 13%
CMU: 10%
Wash.: 9%
PennSt.: 6%
UCIrvine: 5%

When you factor in their average GMAT scores with your GMAT, I think your odds of admission are decent at Rochester, Penn State, and Washington and not very good at CMU, UCI, and UCDavis. The key for you will be explaining in a compelling way why you *need* the MBA now, showing that you have an unusual amount of leadership for someone your age, and be demonstrating that you are savvy and mature about career choices (e.g., by referring to all the people in industry you've spoken with about your career plans).

Good luck,
