I agree that the GMAT could be problematic, especially given the so-so academic background. I’ve worked with a few successful Langone applicants who had GMATs in that range, but their strong academic records balanced it.
Further complicating your challenge is being part of groups (people in finance, people in IT, and Indians) who tend to score higher on the GMAT. You’ll be evaluated in this context.
If you were pretty sure you can score significantly higher on a retake, I’d suggest retaking. But you seem to have some doubt and question as to whether you could raise your score, so I suggest applying in May with what you have and doing your
best application possible, recognizing that it’s a reach under the circumstances.
