Hi Pallavi,
My profile is more or less similar to yours (Master-Biotech, PhD-Science, 1 yr work exp) with some non profit work as a volunteer, a graduate in Indian Classical instrument (Tabla) and currently working as a PDF in US. I m appearing for GMAT this Dec. Nice to see a non IT or non-Engg fellow on this forum. I think your GMAT score is on the lower side. However you are still on advantage having a female and non-IT background. I think if you write a strong essay with a clear goal for career you will sail through.
