Hello sir,
thanks for reaching out to us.
Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but esp. as an Indian candidate, without a higher GMAT you are gonna have a tough time at any of the schools above, and a 620 pretty much puts the top 20 US schools out of the running.

And now for the good news: You can retake! :)
Everything else in your profile does seem in order (we DO have a few more questions though), but you really do need to boost your GMAT by 50 points at least if you are hoping to get results, and even 100 points would be helpful.... so crunch down, and take a few more hacks at it.

Thanks for your reply

I am ready to retake, and positive about it :), i got 620 with prep of hardly 1 month 15 days and that too with compelling work schedules and hectic travel

The only point that demotivates me to retake and settle this year is that i will be 32 by next nov :(, so i will be a part of very old applicant pool ( especially for US schools )

thats the reason i am trying to settle this year, your comments please.

Well 32 is already out of normal range for many US programs, so six months will change little, but 100 points will change a lot!

Also, I would consider one year and European programs, and they tend to better fit older applicants such as yourself, and your age becomes far less of an obstacle.
