I am planning to apply in Purdue-Krannert and PennState-Smeal for their reputation in Operation Management (OpM)/Supply Chain Management (SCM). However, my recent linkedin analysis gives me an impression that most (if not all) of the MBA candidates/graduates of Krannert/Smeal with specialization in OpM or SCM have an engineering background.
Can anyone shade some light on whether MBA in SCM/OpM unofficially requires a HEAVY background in rigorous mathematics or in engineering?
PS: I don't have a background in engineering!
