I am planning to apply in Purdue-Krannert and PennState-Smeal for their reputation in Operation Management (OpM)/Supply Chain Management (SCM). However, my recent linkedin analysis gives me an impression that most (if not all) of the MBA candidates/graduates of Krannert/Smeal with specialization in OpM or SCM have an engineering background.
Can anyone shade some light on whether MBA in SCM/OpM unofficially requires a HEAVY background in rigorous mathematics or in engineering?
PS: I don't have a background in engineering!
Hi,
There is no such requirement for any B School. Almost every B school accept applications from various background of student's profile. The ratio of engineering students may be high but its not an application requirement of any of the B School.
But definitely you should have strong quantitative aptitude to score good enough in GMAT.
Please mention your profile in brief so that we can advice you on your chances of getting admit in Purdue and Smeal.
