Hi Guys..
This is Yogesh. I did my GMAT last month with a score of 690 (verbal:34 Quant:50). I have a work experience of 1.3 years as a Consultant in Deloitte. Planning to start applying for batches after June, 2011. Till then I would have a complete two year work experience. I meat a few consultants in Hyderabad, India who have suggested that I may go on for even the top MBA universities. I really don't have any clue about what I should do and how I should go about. They asked me do away with TOFEL this December with a minimum of 100. I would be writing the same in December.

It would sound odd but could someone explain how the rounds (1,2,3,4) go about. The consultant suggested that for the fall of 2011 I could apply now. Is this possible? She said its a continuous process and the applications are judged on first come first serve basis. This confuses the Round deadlines for me. Somebody please explain. Also how early I need the TOFEL scores in that case? Again how should I narrow down to the colleges?

I know my Gmat scores are not huge but I want to give a try before going for a next GMAT appearance. I am not sure that whether I would be able to uphold my present scores in my next try.

congrats - you are taking the right steps... the rolling admissions depends on different universities, the top ones have rounds, with deadlines. the earlier you apply the better (IMHO). You can get in for Fall 2011 for most places if you apply dec-jan timeframe. You definitely need a good TOEFL score as well.

your work exp may be too short so you should probably wait a year or 2.
