Hi all!
I am relatively new to this forum and yet my exam is scheduled in January. I know that it sounds crazy but I am going for the exam with a 1 month
preparation...please please help me with the following!!
1) A stupid question: I just did the 2 gmat club free tests and got 84% / V37 93% / Q49....but how do i calculate my score ( I am refering to the one that ranges from 500-700?)...this is my first test and i just need an idea on how im doing...are these free tests generally easier than the real ones too??
2)I was rushing the Verbal section of the free gmat verbal test and completed it in 67 mins.....any idea how to better spread out my time?
3) A brief intro here:
--23yrs old female, cbc, graduated from a business school in 2010,major marketing &accounting (do not like accounting at all though), GPA 3.2. considering mba programs in Ontario/BC/Alberta
--working at a bank as an account manager for 2 yrs
(feel more like a salesperson sometimes though the bank emphasizes tht it is our "professional knowledge" and advices tht people draw on...and tht's the biggest thing that I don't like about my current job at the bank, I feel like a salesperson more than anything !!!
)
--worked as an accountant for 5 mths as an intern, was offered a permanent position too but didn't like it so much and so I applied for the above bank position
honestly, I do not know which field to specialize in/which school to go for...of coz I realized that im not in an excellent position as a MBA candidate given my limited work experience and my low GPA (should have studied harder while in school huh....
). and one of the reasons that I am rushed to take the gmat in a mth was that I ran into an ivey alumni last month and he strongly recommended me to apply for the Ivey.
I wasn't considering the Ivey before and so I planned to take the gmat in March as most of the other schools have their deadlines in April-May. Now im rushed and unprepared...feeling that I might have made a really wrong decision....how do you think??
any suggestions will be very much appreciated
