Brief intro about me. I'm Sandeep, currently working. 3.5 Exp , 24 Male, with a GMAT score 560 ( 44 QA, 25 VB ). I know its a pathetic score. I'm grieving everyday for letting my mba dreams be a dream .
On the other hand, 44 in QA was not what i expected. I used to score 47-50 in all mocks including GMAT prep( Trust me, taking QA is like playing in my home pitch). so I have no worries with that. VB always stood between 25 and 30. Problem is non-native speaker. End up taking too much time in RC. some, at the expense of time i wont even understand what the passage is trying to get at.
I'm new to this gmatclub, so i have no idea on what i should do next?
Please please help me out. If had to subscribe for any course, take test, refer n number of materials, matter of fact i'm ready to do anything but all i need is proper guidance.
You are ok at quant. Just keep on practicing tougher questions. Use gmat club forums for that. They sort questinons by topic and difficulty. Analyse your previous mock tests and try to find out if you are weak at any particular topics and then work on those.
Your verbal on the other hand requires some work. Grab the Manhattan SC book and read it thoroughly. Its a holy grail for any gmat taker. Post that solve all OG questions and then move to mock tests to see if you have improved.
Start practicing CR right away from GMATCLUB CR forum. Just solving different varities of questions will take you 4-5 points above.
As far as RC is concerned, there is no easy way around it. You need to practice and practice. One advise that a few test takers find useful is to summarize each paragraph in a line, keeping the topic in mind. This keeps you interested throughout the RC.
One basic strategy that most test takers miss is not taking enough full length tests. You may be a genius, but if you cant use your branis for 4 hours in a go, your intelligence is of no use at GMAT.
Start working.. there is a lot to improve upon. Good luck
