Pls Evaluate my Profile [#permalink] New post 06 Aug 2007, 10:37
Took GMAT in Nov 06 and got 710 (pretty average compared to other 08ers).

Worked for one of the Top Indian Company....Am currently working for a fortune 200.
I call myself a professional Carnatic Classical Musician but theres still a long way to go...(have participated in a couple of concerts)
Have participated in many singing competitions and won lots of prizes.
In my school days, I have taken part in many other extra-curricular activities like Essay Writing, Debates, Sceince Exhibitions etc

I want to do my MBA in Consulting, get good knowledge of Quality (my inclination has been towards it, atleast oflate) and end
up with a profile of a Quality consultant in the long run.

Am interested in the following Schools...
ISB
Emory
ROSS
UNC

I want to have 2 to 3 more schools in my list but am a bit confused about the same. Kindly evaluate my profile and pls suggest and advice me about my school selection (including the above 4).
Also Please suggest me schools that are good in General Management that fit into my goals/profile.

Thanks in Advance,
Giridhar

Giridhar,

You didn't give me a lot of info to work with, but based on your goals and GMAT, you might add Indiana, USC, Georgetown, and/or Cornell to your list. Your professional music background helps you stand out, but you will also want to show substantial leadership in your essays. I think your chances are decent at the schools you mentioned, but with Michigan as a bit of a longshot.

Good luck,
