Pls help me dicide. [#permalink] New post 25 Feb 2008, 11:47
Hello.
I am caught in a terrible fix.
I plan to do my masters form the UK in 2008.
I have an offer from Manchester Buss. School which is has a world ranking of 22, for a Ms in Finance and Business Economics.
I have also applied to the LSE for a course called Management and Regulation of Risk and should get a reply in another one week.
If i am lucky enough to make it to the LSE, i dont know which offer will i accept. I mean MBS has a great ranking and the course sounds better but the brand LSE is much more appealing.
What should i give more preference to, the course or the Brand.
I am also unsure about how good a management degree in risk management from the LSE is vis a vis a degree in finance or economice.
Eagerly waiting for ur reply
Cheers
Aditya

Why don't you wait for a week. ? That way you are not spending time on something that is hypothetical.

MSF is a very specialized degree but gives you some flexibility as compared to Risk Mgmt.
Risk Management is even more specialized. If you are applying for a risk management job and you have that degree then that helps. But if 10 years down the line, risk management is not what you want to do, then that degree is a waste of time !
