hi seniors,
Pls guide me with your extensive knowledge........ i am an engineering final year student in INDIA, planning to take GMAT. after my engg., i plan 2 do a self started business (enterpreneurship!!) for about 1.5-2 years, in the meanwhile...i plan 2 prepare for GMAT.

what i want 2 know that is ------ how do "ultra elite" & elite schools view such types of "self experience"?....... good, bad or they dont consider the experience.......

i have been very good academically in my 10th and 12th standards......and am avg. in my engg.....good in xtra-co-curricular activities.............

pls give me an honest picture of my chances of getting into top 20 worldwide............thanx in advance........

This is far too little information with which to evaluate your chances. Get a couple of years of experience and then come back and ask. :-)

Regarding your question, schools look at entrepreneurial experience very favorably. Just be sure that you can answer the "Why an MBA?" and "Why an MBA now?" questions. You don't want to look like you're applying to b-school only because you couldn't succeed as an entrepreneur, and you also don't want to look like you started a business only to try to get into a top b-school.
