Hi all,

I know this has been thrown out there in the past, but I thought I'd make a poll for 2012 applicants.

When do you expect to leave your job and why is that good timing for you?

I don't know where I'm going yet, but I DO know Friday, May 4th @ 5:30pm PST will be my last minute 8-)

Probably mid-July, but it depends on whether I have to move and how far...

Lucky, lucky!!!! I REALLY wanted to stop working at the beginning of May, but I ran the hard numbers and would feel more comfortable financially if I worked a little longer. So it looks like Friday, June 1, will be my last day of work. Thankfully, at my company, that really translates into a half day!!!! Looking forward to having a month to enjoy doing only what I want to do! I figure July will be my month to pack and relocate, so that really doesn't count. :-D

I'm leaving on June 15 (half day Fridays!!). I'm counting the weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds til that glorious day arrives. I need to work through the end of May to get my bonus, I tacked on an additional 2 weeks to have a full paycheck without the burden of major bills to pay (lease is up in May so no utilities, rent, cable, internet, etc.). I might even have 2 weeks of vacation left to burn by 6/15 so hopefully that will give me one more check at the end of June (without actually having to work). Bonus + 1 month salary = very fun summer w/o having to touch what I already saved for school.

Relaxing in June, traveling in July, moving to school in August.
