Why is D wrong?

nevermind. figured it out.


being is acceptable because an action is being done on the subject.

Danny was imprisoned for 10 years before being exonerated and freed.

Is "being" ever correct in GMAT?

I always see it as always wrong.
Anyone can give OG or GMATprep example of "being" in a correct answer?

being is almost always wrong. but 700+ scorers need to know the exceptions.

the sentence above is an exception.

If you are right, then I am not 700+ scorer...yet :)
