Hi all,
Congratulation to those of you who are admitted!!
I know that once you pay your deposit and log-in, you are able to see how many students are matriculating. Would you kindly post an update on how many students have been admitted?
Just curious how many of the 450 seats have been filled, as I am still waiting for an interview in July...

Just got notification - accepted.
My stats:
BBA in Accounting 3.67 GPA
GMAT: 640 (writing 5.5 integrated reasoning 6.0)
WE: 5 years in Alternative Investment tax (PE & HF)
Strong recommendation from manager and director
Involved in some tax volunteer work during undergrad. Participated in some extracurriculars at work (committees, took additional on-site training, etc.)

a little surprised at how fast I got a decision considering my GMAT score isn't all that great...but I am glad.

Got in as well.

They replied back to me super quick. I finished my application on May 15th and already got a response.

Where exactly is the status for number of students admitted so far? I can't seem to find it or they might have removed it.

I see 227 in the new group as of this morning, so they still have quite some way to go to fill up.

Any updates on acceptances or invitations to interviews?

I applied May 15th. I received an invitation to interview this morning. Looks like the earliest on the schedule is July 16th. Have any of you interviewed so far for the Part-Time?

I am curious as to why we were selected to interview, and some of the others were not. I know that Chris558 submitted a video for the third essay.

Chethan, did you submit a written essay for the third one? I did submit an essay in lieu of a video, I wonder if a video would have provided the Admissions team with what they ultimately get during an interview...

I cant imagine the interview being too difficult. I have already interviewed with Kellogg and Georgetown, and I feel they went very well... if you want some pointers PM me and I can share with you some of the Qs that I have practiced on for the other interviews.

Interesting that so many of us are invited to interview this year, since interviews for PT are generally uncommon... FYI, i did not do an essay for #3 and submitted a creative presentation (non-video), so I don't think that's the reason for interviews.

My thoughts are: if you did not submit a video, then they may not have received the information they still desire around appearance, professionalism, communication ability, etc.... it is possible the video satisfies that curiosity, and we were unable to convey that message through non-video media....

The alternative thought I have is that there are an abundance of "borderline" candidates, and the interview is a tool they are using to further narrow the final list....

Or maybe NYU is starting to change their process?!

If any of you interview sooner than later, I think we would all appreciate some insight!!

I have activated both. I pretty much did both my regular NYU and the Stern Id at the same time before the end of June. I didn't get any errors.
