Hello Applicants,

I am currently a student in one of UCLA Anderson's MBA programs. Deciding to attend UCLA Anderson was a terrible decision for me and I feel like if I had more accurate information, I would not have made this decision. In the next few weeks when all of you are making your decision, I want to be a resource for you so that you do not make the same mistake that I did. I will post about the rankings, administration, professors, culture, etc. Please stay tuned, and thank you for your patience.

1. UCLA Anderson is a school that is heading in the wrong direction
As you can see that after Dean Judy Olian was appointed in 2006, UCLA Anderson has continually done worse in the US News Rankings and according to the Financial Times fewer and fewer UCLA Anderson alumni are recommending their own school.



Thanks for sharing! I did not think UCLA was that hot back in 2006, frankly. I think the rankings and reputation have improved based on what I have seen on GMAT Club. What was your choice when you were deciding? What school did you choose to drop against UCLA?

Longtime lurker for my wife. She just got accepted to UCLA's full time MBA program this morning, march 5th. Round two applicant, interviewed feb 7th, 3.46 GPA (3.57 in major) from a top 5 public, 90th percentile on both GRE sections, 4 years work experience. No word in the letter about funding. I predicted she'd get in this week based on trends from previous posts on this forum so wanted to contribute to the community. Hope this helps!

Just want to give hope to everyone. I am a rd 2 applicant and have just been invited to interview. I also found out several days ago I was accepted off my dream school waitlist so I am declining the interview and withdrawing my name from consideration. I received the invite on march 4th around 9pm ET. Dont give up yet!

Just for every round 2er out there hoping for another batch of early decisions, I spoke with an admissions office coordinator yesterday and it sounded like there will be no more batches of early decisions. That could change over the next couple of weeks, but it doesn't sound likely. Good luck everybody!

Edit - Just an update on a previous post. It sounds like there will be another batch before April 2 (https://mbablogs.anderson.ucla.edu/)!

Does anyone know how many were admitted? I'm curious if I still have a legitimate chance or not. Someone posted earlier they would admit probably around 300 this round. 75 were admitted wave 1, which leaves 225. How many were admitted wave 2?

I believe Anderson typically takes in a class of about 375. The business school has a yield of about 50%. This means we should see about 750 students being admitted across all three rounds, with the majority admitted in rounds one and two.

Based on R1 numbers, seems that UCLA may be more selective this year.

It also seems that there is a fair increase in applicants. I wonder if this has anything to do with the selectivity, given that the one essay they required can be easily adapted from other school's essays.
