Hi there,
No, you are not too old for EMBA programs. As you are aware ,executive MBA programs are designed for mid -career professionals like yourself, and I believe you will benefit best from a good EMBA program. I recently worked with an applicant who was accepted into Haas EMBA program with 18 years of work experience. So you are good. All you need to do it put together a strong application that convincingly explains the key questions - 'why EMBA now', 'why target school' and 'why career transition'?
Good luck!!!
Thanks so much for the words of advice!
So you would definitely recommend EMBA over part-time?
What programs would you recommend for me? I am in the NYC area.
The avg age of NYU PT is 25. The avg age of NYU EMBA is 38.
The avg age of Columbia EMBA is 31.
The avg age of UPenn EMBA is 34.
The problem with EMBA programs (with the exception of Columbia's Saturday only program) is that your employer needs to be ok with you taking off every other Friday to pursue the program. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening in the next couple of years for me.
Thanks again!
