Brilliant de-brief! I happened to give the GMAT a day before you did. Managed to score a 730 with a 50, 39 split. It shouldnt be surprising that with such amazing resources floating around the internet, the percentiles will keep decreasing. I bombed my IR with just a 4. Had given just one IR with utmost seriousness and that was the prep software. Managing an 8 there i thought i could crack the real thing as easily. Overconfidence kicked my nuts there.

Do you know which all colleges in India give admission simply on the basis of GMAT? For non-NRI's. All I happen to know is ISB. How about XLRI and IIM's?

thanks for debrief. i could not control laughter on reading this sentence from your post.
There was one particularly tricky SC question which I could narrow down only to 2 options and then guessed, and Q3 was RC (:O) on some arbit existentialism type philosophical nosense which doesn’t affect any of our lives.

WOW !! Congratulations on such a great score !! This has to be among the top debriefs here,if not the best..!!you shared extremely crucial insights..!after solving almost all the CR from gmatprep file,i was bout to start solving CR from all the other sources available for the whole this month..!ur words,STICK TO OFFICIAL STUFF and I NEVER AGREED WITH MANHATTAN CR EXPLANATIONS really has boosted my confidence, since for all the questions from gmatprep file,i had accuracy of 85-90 percent, though i took 3-5 mins per question..but wen i tried to solve sum CR from unofficial questions,it went down to 50 percent  ..!now with ur key insights such as THINK LIKE GMAC and WHAT IS QUESTION TESTING ON ,m gona go through all those official prep questions again, keeping these things in mind..!I have read ua debriefs atleast 3 times by now,to discover new insights in every read..!
Could u please tell, whether the CR questions of actual test, similar to gmatprep questions or trickier than that ?and what would be ur accuracy on gmat prep questions and timing on the same?and how was ur experience of the pune test centre, since m from pune and have registered my exam in tht centre..

Thank you so much mate !! u seriously made my month !!BOOKMARKED :)

Thanks!

Don't know much about Indian B Schools - but am sure that MICA, ISB, and Great Lakes accept the GMAT.

Good luck with your apps!

Hey! Thanks a lot - glad the debrief helped you :)

According to me, the GMATPrep tests are the closest that you can get to the actual test. I felt it was more or less the same level.

I finished all the tests I took and you can refer to my original posts for my score.

The Pune test centre (I took it at the one near the University, in Ashok Nagar) is super good. Its quite small (6 terminals) but in a quiet area so no disturbance, I had a great administrator and overall it was quite a comfortable and nice experience.

Hope this helps! Good luck :)

Hey bro,
Thank u so much for ur insights..!could u please also tell me,how many questions on an average u used to get incorrect in verbal section on the mocks?Actually i am highly confident that i wont miss any SC,regardless of its difficulty but may mess up with 4-5 difficult CR and 4-5 difficult RC questions in total on total verbal section..Also,if u could predict an average raw verbal score with around 31 correct answers..?
thanks :)
