I would like an opinion on my profile

GMAT score 670 (Verbal 37 Quant 45)
Indian
Female
6 years of software engineering experience with an international mnc.
Good undergraduate degree
Some volunteer work and extra curricular activities

For my profile is HEC Montreal a safe application? Is there a chance for funding for my profile?

Any other suggestions for universities in Canada? I am planning to apply by September 1st ( round 2)

Hey there,
I would love to help you out, but in order to do so would need a weee bit more detail. What did you do in those six years? Who did you work for? Do you have any leadership? How many promotions did you receive? How does your promotion schedule look in comparison to others?

What are your 'strong ECs and Volunteer work'? What exactly did you do?

What school did you graduate from? What is your GPA?

I worked for 3 years in an Indian software firm and another 3 years in a US mnc. I work as an engineer and have received promotions. I dont have formal leadership experience. I have had a lot of interaction with customers and colleagues from across the globe.( South America, Israel, Japan)
I have an undergraduate degree in engineering from a non-IIT (80%)

Volunteer work: I was a part of an organisation which setup and ran a clinic in my hometown
Extra Curriculars in college include debates, student leader

Sooo sounds not tooo bad :)
If your focus is on Canada, I think you can give a shot to most schools - HEC Montreal, Rotman, Queens, Schulich, Mcgill...
Better to apply more rather than less, cause your GMAT could be a weeee bit higher,

Being from India, my Gmat score is a bit of drag on my chances.

How good is HEC Montreal? I see it relatively high on a number of rankings I saw. However I have read a lot of mixed reviews on many forums. I dont know French at the moment, but hope to learn if I go to Montreal.

Well,
From what I understand it's not that highly ranked, but in Canada and Montreal is quite well-regarded. So, if you'd be happy to work in Canada (which seems to be your goal ;) ) it should be a great option for you.

Of course once you get all your accepts and have to choose ;)... you would be wise to visit all the places you get into before you decide.
