Hi

I inputted the referee details on Sunday, but my referees have not received any link. How long does it take verify referee's email address, and how is it done?

Thanks!

Don't worry about the process. Just send them an email to resend the link. The same happened with me and I asked them to resend the link. They did it again and my evaluator received the link that very day.

Hey Guys

I wanted to share my insights as an R1 applicant to benefit any R2 applicants on the forum.

While I understand that there are lot of parameters that are taken into consideration, I believe that the strength of
profile and the interview experience matters most. I am an IT applicant with 6+ years of experience with a reasonable GMAT(700)-especially considering I am from the IT sector.

I have reasonably good academic scores and reasonable extracurriculars. I beleive that GMAT score is certainly important, however if you feel you can build a strong application that projects your strengths, it will help you stand out amidst other applicants.
If you manage that you will atleast be able to secure an interview invite. Then its in your hands to make the best use of the interview.
Though I am not sure about the exact evaluation process at ISB, I know I had a good interview experience and I was quite confident with the application I had submitted.

Good Luck to R2 applicants! In case there are any queries, I will be happy to answer

I can offer:

Essay Review

Goals Evaluation and Review

Mock Interviews (limited, only if I like you :P )

I've got enough requests to last till the end of the month. So this offer is closed.

Start off with what was told to you in the feedback.
Then go ahead and write how you introspected and what all you have improved and how.
You can also add, why you think this has to be the year when you have to go for an MBA.
Conclude by showing motivation towards the school and show that you are an improved candidate now and have researched a lot about the school.

Hope this helps
All the best!

I am working on one of my recommendations and i seriously can't think of any achievement or award. We do not have any employee awards at our company be it employee of the month of quarter or year. OR any other such sorts of awards. Moreover, project execution in itself is a very big achievement at my company, but that's also a part of job and i don't think if it can be considered an achievement. There's really no scope for anything else. What can i write in that section? please suggest.

I think you can mention about one of your project execution as an achievement where you went out of your ordinary work-mode to get things done. Substantiate it with your recommendation.

Okay. Looks like I'll have to mention just the regular stuff. We actually always have way too tight deadlines and there's no scope for anything extra. We almost always have to go out of the way to get projects done on time. Let's see.

You can mention the achievements in the following ways:

1. If you have developed something, that must have reduced time. Quantify it.
2. You might have suggested some thing, which has been incorporate in the project, say it.
3. Try to quantify your work. Calculate the number of $s saved.
4. rite about any accolade you received. Might be in a mail only.
5. Talk about your rating.
6. Talk about any training experience and ho you helped people to ramp up.

I think these should suffice.
All the best!
