Hi! I've been lurking for a while - actually, the whole application period. If I remember correctly from Discover Stern, I think most of their URM class came from the Consortium and that a lot of people interviewed during a special diversity interview weekend (can't remember the specifics!) in early spring. I think there is a good chance they're going to have a lot of people to come and interview then... 8-)

But what about us poor R1-ers?? Our interviews are supposed to come before December 15th.

I'm hoping that maybe they are grouping us together for a big URM push!

Yep, I'm thinking that how they structured it in past years is that they combined R1 and R2 for one big interview weekend for diversity candidates, considering that most were consortium candidates.

Hmmmmm. Well either way, if we applied in R1 the Stern website says we should know if we were invited to interview by December 15th (https://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admis ... /deadlines). 14 days.

Got the Haas invite about 2.5 weeks ago, will have the interview this week. I think the interview deadline is either the end of this week or the next, but don't quote me I could be misremembering.

Interview deadline for your specific interview (based on when you received your invite) or for everyone? Looking at last year's thread it seemed like a few invites still came out in January. Here's to hoping!

Now here we were thinking that there weren't any cgsm-haas invites out yet... 2.5 weeks ago? now I am worried.

I take that back, I don't have a good idea for the Haas interview deadline, I was confusing it with Stanford's which requires all interviews be done by Friday the 15th.

So just to Recap..from Submission till today, 12/2/2014:
HAAS>1 interview invite
NYU>0
Yale>0

It's maddening that we haven't hear anything yet from these schools.
>Contrarily (Mini Rant)
Anecdotal, so take with a grain of salt...
When I went to interview at Michigan, I was told that this year there was a 30% increase in R1 apps. If similar trends are at other schools, maybe we are up against a bigger pool/deeper pool, and unlike in previous cycles where this board represented the self-selected uber candidates, this cycle has a lot more shadow candidates (as in not on this board/not seen but we know there presence can be inferred) that are skewing this board's representation?

Re: Calling All 2015 Consortium Applicants Thread [#permalink]
Since I'm bored and need help passing the next two weeks, I keep looking at my school websites willing them to accept me.

I did see something good that the Consortium changed. Talking with past Consortium students they mentioned there was a disadvantage for those that applied R1 because the deposit deadlines were early February and scholarships don't come out until the end of March. Hence either put multiple deposits down and lose a few thousand or hedge your bets on one school giving you a scholarship.

It seems to have changed this year, at least for the schools that list it. Berkeley and Tuck Consortium deadlines are April 28th and April 30th respectively. NYU doesn't show their deposit deadline dates and UCLA doesn't make R1 Consortium decisions until March, so the deposit deadline has to be in April.

Now, back to willing schools to accept me with my mind....

Do you have last year's mission recommendation questions?

I saw that but it appears to only be the professional recommendation questions not the ones for the mission recommendation. Does anyone have those? I can't find them anywhere online.

+1 for Haas. Received the invite today and the only available on-campus interview date is 10 DEC. I'm going to have to go with an alum in Seattle.

I've been lurking, but I received interview invitations for Yale, Ross, and McCombs shortly after the 1st round consortium deadline.
