Any Indian student invited yet?

How many recommendations did you guys submit? Looks like I misread the instructions and submitted just one.

Only one is required for the Full-Time program. That is all I had.

impressive companies recruit at McDonough. however, considering the high program cost and high cost of living in dc, do you guyz think the salaries are comparable to those from top schools?

I received the interview invite as well. It looks like I am going with the skype option.

Interview tips from round one applicants are welcome.

If possible, avoid skype option. Go for in-person interview either on campus or with a visiting adcom in your city. Makes ahuge difference.
Even if you screw up your interview in in-person, there are chances that you l be admitted but a screw up in skype => Ding (90% chances)

I just got invited to interview!! any tips are more than welcome...

I was interviewed by David when he visited my country. Questions:
Why mba? and other standard ones. Initially he asked for a quick walkthrough of the resume.
He asked which other schools i had applied to and what differentiates mcdonough from those schools? (I could not give solid reasons here.)

Biggest accomplishment?
How did I get accustomed to the professional life right after my under-grad?
What challenges do I think that I might face when I come to mcdonough? Personal/professional
How well do I gel with people from other cultures? I gave example of typical onshore-offshore management in my current job and how I have adapted myself to cater to the demands of people from different cultures.

How do I lead a team? give an example of the same.
If I had a view/vision, how will I share it with my fellow peers in a team setting?

These are some of the questions that I can think of right now. This was by far the worst interview that I had given but I think meeting in person did the trick.

All the best!

Then I am very happy I decided to head down to LA. In person meeting and a weekend with my sister. Hopefully both will go well.

Neverbackdown thanks for the advice. But since I live in Brazil and the interview dates are too close, it is almost impossible to find a airplane ticket for a fair price. The only option left is skype and I will have to get ready and make sure that I won´t screw up. By the way, thanks for sharing your interview experience.

All the very best Vignicius! Prepare well and do well. Keep an internet backup in case your primary wifi or source of internet tries to mess around.

I submitted on the 30th Dec and got the thank you mail immediately after. Also got an email from Michelle Roch next day stating that she will assist me throughout the admission process.

No invite as of now, its making me nervous :(

People who received an invite, did your Application Status change from 'SUBMITTED' to anything along the lines of 'RECEIVED', or 'COMPLETE' or 'UNDER REVIEW' before you got invited?

Do they notify you when they've started reviewing or checking your application?

Or does it go directly from SUBMITTED to INVITED or something?
