Yeah. I guess you guys are right. But the thing is, I met ADs from Ross and Darden back at a symposium for MBA and I learnt that Ross only does a metric evaluation for invites and does not do a holistic review before inviting (hence the super quick turnaround), which for me isn't fair. I don't think they even read essays for interview invites.
Darden on the other hand does a holistic review per app before inviting. So I think waiting gives me some more hope
Not sure if that is true since in the thread you see people with 720+ gmats and high GPAs who didn't get invites. Its far more work to bring people in for an interview than just read their essays so wouldnt be the best use of their time.
Not to mention that Ross released interview invites on the 19th and Darden is expected to do so starting tomorrow by last year's timeline... which when accounting for application deadline dates is basically a one-day difference in turn-around time. Yes, Darden may be "rolling" but it seems like the bulk go out within a few days of this time. I doubt there are meaningful differences in their processes.
I'm editing the rest of my response as I did a quick search and found this:
https://blog.clearadmit.com/2013/08/clea ... on-fuller/It seems like Ross uses a metric process only to help sort applications into categories for a subsequent full-review (still pre-interview) and for looking at the pool on a more macro-level. In the past when they had 2 waves of invitations they did have the first of those solely based on metrics but it looks like they have changed that.
