Congrats everyone. No news here. Anyone still waiting?

To the people who can now see skype interview scheduler, how many slots look empty or fast filling? Or is there no such information?

FROM Darden Admissions Blog: Darden Alum Reinvents the Snow Shovel
Darden Alumni are always up to interesting things. Take, for example, the story of Phil Davis (MBA ’85), whose invention may just revolutionize the snow shovel industry. We have posted an excerpt of his story below.

Darden Alum Reinvents the Snow Shovel

Phil Davis (MBA ’86)

Virginia received several inches of snow [Monday, 16 February], leaving many in the Charlottesville area with the unhappy task of snow removal [the next] morning.

Traditional snow shoveling, however, may become a thing of the past thanks to Phil Davis, an alumnus of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is the inventor of “The Pushel,” which, according to his website, is the “first major innovation in snow shovel design in over 100 years.” (You can order it through his website for $49.95, plus shipping and handling.)

We talked to Davis about his time at Darden, his latest invention and being an entrepreneur.

Q. What drew you to the Darden School of Business?

A. I was initially recruited to Stanford and then heard about U.Va. I started out at law, but switched to Darden. I was in a Darden marketing class and thought, “This is it.”

Do you have an idea for the next great invention? Darden can foster your entrepreneurial spirit through resources such as the iLab Incubator or the Batten Institute. Check out our website to learn more.

I guess by looking at R1, 55% of the gmatclub pool was interviewed? If this is consistent, we still have over half of the invites yet to come out. I'd say we still have some chances.

looks like a lot of people are pending to come forward too. May be today and tomorrow are the last 2 days of invitations considering 25th feb is the last slot for skype interviews. Really losing hope at my end, lol.

So, today seems to be the last day to expect an interview invite practically. Best of luck everyone who is still waiting.

Hi ThePot,
Not really sure why are you seeking reasons to get depressed. Who ever told you that "today seems to be the last day to expect an interview invite practically"?
Please try to use senses. Darden will declare results on March 25th. It is Feb 20 today. There has been unexpected snowfall there and weather doesn't seem to be easing out. Give the folks some days and they will send you your invite (I hope they invite you).
And, please use forum for the fundamental reason of their creation. To help and motivate each other.
Do excuse me if my words have been harsh, but I really don't want to see any more sadist remarks in the forums then there should be (which in my opinion should be zero).
Cheers and happy lunar new year...

Oh, it seems that you have misconstrued my statements. I am not seeking any reasons to be depressed. I have applied in 8 schools, and I have only been rejected in 2/8. I am quite optimistic that I will hear from the schools I haven't heard from yet. :?

I said that its 'practically' last day because of the following reasons:-

1) The interview slots on skype are only till Feb 25th. The snowfall has been going on for about 10 days. If they intended to further their invitations they would have opened more slots. At least thats how I think it works

2) Last year as observed by me, the interview reports were mentioned till 18th Feb.

3) For people who have been invited, the last day for scheduling any interview - On-Campus/Off-Campus/Skype is 25th Feb. Clearly they mean to wrap up the interview process by 25th Feb.

4)They dont send invites on weekends.

So, I think I totally am using my senses when it comes to projecting and predicting the chances. If you disagree with me, instead of calling me sadistic, and nonsensical, you could've respectfully written that such is not the case and interviews will extend further than as predicted by me, citing the proper reasons. I think that'd make me very happy and relieved.

I don't think I have been using this forum for reasons other than its meant for. Just because I may have made a wrong prediction doesn't mean I am sadistic, negative or discouraging. I get really happy when the fellow gmatclub members get accepted and I wish the best for them. I am really sorry if my posts seemed to have suggest otherwise.

That said, these are tough times for most of us. Interview invitations, or lack thereof is making us nervous and therefore its understandable that you said things you didn't mean. Its all good. No hard feelings. :-D

No offence taken.
And if it helps calm the nerves, my interviewer told me that there will still be a lot of invites going out. Hence, all the initial assumptions stand null and void.

Oh awesome! That does help. When was your interview by the way? Skype or in-person?
