Just tell them you are going to be in New York on the date you are flying in through whenever. You would really love to interview in person so if they are considering you for an interview you would prefer to come in during this window.

I'll wait for about week. I'm headed to NY on the 11th, so there's still a bit of time. Thanks joeshmo!

I am in the same situation as you are. I am an international applicant and going to visit Darden and Johnson in next week. I have not gotten an interview invitation from Tepper yet but I sent them an e-mail and indicated my desire to have an applicant initiated interview when I will be there. However they politely refused my offer :? :? and told me that I could visit the campus and stop by their admissions office and chat with one counselor. It was kinda dissappointment, nevertheless I am glad to try my chance and show my passion to school.

If I were you, I would try my chance and reach out them. We have nothing to lose...Just be open and clearly state your situation and lets see whether it works..

I think you should still make the effort to meet with the Tepper team. You have nothing to lose anyway.

I'm planning to reach out to Stern, just thinking of what to say.

Yeah you are absolutely right. I am planning to visit Pittsburgh for meeting with a friend and despite their refusal, I decided to visit the school and meet with them.

I wrote some words, which show my passion and desire for school and its community and gave my trip details to them. I did not try to convey my intention in a diplomatic or politic way. It might be better to be strategic or soft spoken but I thought I have nothing to lose :P :P

When you say you're visiting Darden and Johnson, are these for interviews? You applied in R2?

How long did admissions take to reply to your emails for scheduling the interview? I emailed them on 2/19. No reply yet until now. :(

It took approximately 3-4 work days. I think you should wait one or two days more and then call them directly.

Do you plan to have on campus interview? When?

Yes I am r2 and applied through the consortium, so I know there was an earlier notification date of this week. However, I think they let some of the park finalists know a bit earlier since there are ony a few specific interview weekends for the program.

Hello Friends,

I am an R2 applicant for Cornell (Initial Decision - waiting); I am planning to retake the GMAT as i acknowledge this is the only parameter that i need to break.
As the final R2 result will be announced in last week of March (28th) and as the initial payment deposit is scheduled on 22nd April, When should i send Cornell my updated score? Assuming, i need at least 6 weeks to turn around. Can someone advice?

Send it to them whenever you have it. Don't worry about the R2 deadlines for deposit, etc. Waitlisted students can be offered an interview/admit whenever the admissions committee sees fit. That may be in R3, it may be later, but whenever it may happen, they'll usually give you deadlines to adhere to if it's outside the normal admissions cycle.
