Urgent Help Needed !!

I was informed today by the test center that they wont conduct the exam on May 1st due to labour day.

It is less than 48 hours before the exam and I am freaking out.

I have been trying to get in touch with the mba helpline number but it is an absolutely pathetic system and I have not been able to make a successful call since last 6 hours.

I have dropped them multiple emails and there is no response.

What can do now ? I DO NOT wish to pay the rescheduling fee for no fault of mine.

I would suggest that you continue trying to reach the main MBA line now that it is normal business hours US. What did the test center say about rescheduling? You should not have to pay a fee to reschedule your exam for fault of the testing center.

Hi amit1989,

From your post, I assume that you have scheduled your Official GMAT for May 1st.

How did the Testing Center inform you about all of this? If it was an email, can you post the email here?

There is no reason to freak out. They let you schedule the test on 1st May and later decided to have a holiday on that day - it is an irresponsible act on their part. You are the aggrieved party here so they will not make you pay again. They will probably reschedule all 1st May appointments to some other day. Try to get in touch with the center to discuss the rescheduling. If unable to do so today and over the long weekend, don't worry. Get in touch with them at the earliest next week.

Did you get a confirmation for the date? Did they first accept the date and then changed it or what happened exactly?
