Hello Experts,
I have been a lurker on these forums for the past 1 year and this community helped many many folks out there reach their dreams and I am hoping I'd get the same help too.
Current Status:
Quant and Verbal are equally my weak areas. Last Diag test I scored a Q29 V22 but after a lot of quant specific preparation I was able to bring up the number to Q35. I am lingering in the Q33-Q35 area for the past 1 month. I understand from one of the articles here that I might be weak with my basics, but I feel it is something different and not just the basics. Perhaps, a panic when I look at the timer running and a question on the screen I go blank!
To overcome this issue, I started practicing each question with timer on and am able to resolve most of the questions in 2 mins otherwise guess and move on. However, my problem is around How do I move to the Q50s?
I am currently, going through the
MGMAT Guides + GMAT Math Book for the theory. Practice from
OG + Jeff Sackmann and taking tests from the
Gmat Club Tests. Recently, I started solving a lot of gmat club forum questions from the directories. First solved 500-level then gradually moving to 700-level. This definitely is working out great for me, indulging more confidence but how long can I do this? There are 100's of questions on these forums and covering all these would take forever.
I AM doing the "Why-why" approach for each question but few I naturally skip them. Could any of you help me draft/advice a proper strategy for the next 1 month to practice and excel. There is Verbal too! My strong area is SC and the other two my weak areas.
Please help. I will be able to allocate 5 hours during weekdays and 10 hours each during the weekends.
Attached here are two screenshots of my performance from
gmat club tests.
Thanks,
Pretz
PS - My goal score is 750.
