When did they make the early round 3 admittance calls? The forums are quiet. Nobody on gmatclub indicated in their profile that they were admitted for round 3.

Seems everyone will be notified on June 3.

FROM NewsUCLA: A quick update on Round 3 admissions
Hello everyone! Today I wanted to provide a brief update on where we are with Round 3 applications.  We are now done with our interviews for this round, and all decisions will be released on our decision release day, coming up on June 3rd.  Candidates currently on the waitlist from Rounds 1 and 2 will also receive a status update on your application by then.

It is another strong application year for UCLA Anderson and we're excited to finish rounding out the Class of 2017.  However, there won't be much downtime since we are going to be on the road pretty soon, with our first admissions events taking place in July.

Hi All,

I am aware that the admission procedure of UCLA is extremely crisp having only 1 essay and 1 letter of recommendation. After this shortlisting there is only one interview with a second year student of the college - this interview would generally test how well i would fit into the culture of UCLA along with other things.

This gives me a hint that UCLA adcoms do place a lot of importance on the profile. I have read in a number of places that the AdComs at UCLA give GPA more weightage (relative to other colleges). Is this correct? I have a GPA of 6.3/10, a solid workex of 18 months (3 years by the time i join college) and a GMAT score of 730. Would my low GPA be a hindrance/bottle neck for my application?

Not focused at all today. Hopefully calls will come in starting today; that seems to have been the case in previous rounds. I know some people never received a call but were still accepted when they logged in the portal at midnight PST.

Still pretty early in LA so I wouldn't sweat it too much. Historically sometimes Anderson has been inconsistent with the calls. I wouldn't read too much into it. Where are people located? I am domestic in the eastern part of the country EST. Still nothing yet and my portal hasn't changed at all. It looks the same way it has since my application was deemed complete. R3 applicant.

I'm based in India, but I'm travelling overseas at the moment so my phone network is sketchy. I was wait listed in R2. I believe they said we would know by/on June 3rd, so we could still have another day's wait on our hands. Yeah, they have been pretty inconsistent with calling applicants personally. A lot of people I know just received an email to check their status on the portal.

Hmm.. Not a single call yet!! and No early admits too!!

Anyway, I think its too late in the night here to expect a call - especially because they usually consider time zones while calling.. Guess I'll have to receive the news (good or bad - preferably good please!!) through the application portal.. :x Tomorrow's going to be another unproductive day at work.. Sigh..

I also got a call at around 5PM PST today, but the caller mentioned they just got the green light to start calling a few minutes prior and were leaving by 6PM. I'm guessing people East of California wouldn't be getting calls in the middle of the night, so I wouldn't worry yet about not receiving a call.

In. Got the call around 830 EST. Located in Eastern USA. I also logged into the application portal just now (right at midnight of the deadline date for future readers) and confirmed that I didn't imagine the entire phone call. Very wide awake. :shock:

Congrats to my potential classmates. Best of luck to all in the future. Insert clever inspirational cool thing to say because my brain is hardly functioning.

Definitely not trying to look a gift horse in the mouth but when do we find out if offered any fellowships? Is it always on the call? My call was quick and there was no mention of anything. I just wanted to know in regards to timeline for decision making purposes. I see no mention of anything in the admit letter either and this will be an important part of my decision making process.
