Had my interview yesterday.

Location: Delhi, 4:15pm, Panel 8

Panel: 2 alums (both co2011) + 1 ISB ELP committee director

One word essay was on 'Reward'. Interview was brief (20-25 mins max). No grilling or cross questioning. Panel found my profile interesting. Questions were as follows:

1) Why do you want to leave your business (even though its a profitable venture with annual sales of Rs.1.5 crore) and Why come to ISB?

2) How did you get into this business?

3) Take us through your professional journey so far

4) Take your own business as a case study. What will you do to improve the margins? What are the problems involved?

5) How did you get into quizzing (had mentioned it as my hobby)?

6) Do you know what consulting companies look for while hiring candidates? (had mentioned consulting as post-MBA goal)

7) How do you think your entrepreneurship experience will help you in your consulting career?

No guesstimations at all. No questions on my EY experience.

Nevertheless, I have a bad feeling about the entire experience.

My profile:

GMAT: 680

Academics: 59.4% (Bachelor of Business Studies from SSCBS, Delhi University)

Experience: EY (4.5 yrs), Own business (2 yrs)

Extra-currics: Quizzing

For all those anxious souls who haven't received the completion mail yet, got my application completion mail at around 4:30 in the evening today. Mumbai candidate, submitted my application on 15th Jan. So I guess they are still reviewing applications.

Asking this query again, application portal says application status : completed, but no mail from adcom, should i be worried ?

If I were you, I wouldn't be. But just to be doubly sure would call the adcom and confirm.

Something like "How many coffee shops in Mumbai?" or "How many petrol pumps in Mumbai?" There's no right answer. The idea is to look at how you approach such a problem. Basically you are 'guessing' and giving an 'estimate'. That's why a guesstimate :D

Help needed here.

I have been invited for Skype interview on 14th Feb. However, I am travelling to India during that time. Is there any chance of rescheduling the interview?

Also, for no apparent reason, I don't receive ISB emails on my registered email ID. The last email I received was of evaluator details being submitted. Application completion email was received on alternate email id I provided.

I got to know about the interview from online application portal. I cannot reschedule or accept the invite as I have not received any email.

What should i do?

This is like answering my own question (Lol), but I found this on another website:

Sent in a mail to the admission team on the dates. This was the official info provided :


City Date

Kolkata Feb 13th -14th

Bangalore Feb 19th-21st

Mumbai Feb 27th -28th

Hyderabad Feb 06th -29th

Skype Feb 06th -29th

Mohali Feb 15th -29th ( Tentative)

If shortlisted, we will let you know at least 3-5 days prior to the interview date.
