This is not true. But you do need to convey your motivations for earning an MBA at this point of your career very clearly.
Similarly, you most likely need to explain your post MBA goals much more clearly than the average applicant.
I was admitted to Harvard and 5 other programs at age 33.
One of my past clients got into MIT at 34 or 35. There was a 40+ year old student at HBS when I studied there.

If you really want to earn an MBA, then you should reapply. Do not let age deter you.
But please also try to reflect genuinely on your application and understand what prevented you from securing an interview invitation.
In some (rare) cases, schools may even be willing to provide valuable feedback.
