Does anyone know if there is a rule if you put a deposit down from being accepted in round 1 that you have to withdraw your applications from round 2? Or am I still allowed to weigh the decisions from my round 2 schools? I didn't have the bandwidth to complete all my apps in round 1 so I had to split them up unfortunately. I'm still 95% sure that I'm going to attend fuqua but still would like the ability to weigh my options.
There is no rule that requires you to withdraw applications from other schools. This happens all the time. The deposit is a way for admissions to guarantee some type of income for holding your spot even if the student chooses elsewhere. If you put your deposit down, just know that you won't get it back if you choose to attend another school.
