Work - 2 years as an undergraduate researcher at UT, 2 years as an undergraduate researcher at Cornell. 2 papers published between the 2. 3 years as an account manager for a biotech distributor. 1 year in a territory manager/business development role with a small biotechnology company based in Cambridge (similar to what I will do down the road).
EC - 3 years as a board member for the University of Texas alumni base in NYC. 2 years as the NYC head of a biotechnology entrepreneurship organization based in SF. Advised multiple startups, one of which got acquired.
Hobbies - Participate in and lead hikes throughout the Americas including subzero conditions. Not sure if this is important, but I mentioned it in my essay at some point.
Future plans - Business development/corporate strategy associate role with big pharma (using my own contacts at J&J, Novartis, Pfizer, Regeneron, etc) or strategy consulting in the life science space. Mentioned TMCx multiple times in my interview as a reason why I want to attend Jones since TMCx is a smaller version of the accelerators I work with up here. Also, I'm a born and raised Houstonian and my family lives throughout the city.
