Calling all Kenan-Flagler Applicants (2016 Intake) Class of 2018!!

It has been more than a month since I received the application complete mail. Will they be sending out any more invites?

Round 3 applicant. Just got done with a F2F interview with Ms. Brittany Craig at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It went pretty well and was the most conversational interview I've ever attended. It was very different from the rest of the interviews I've given, in the sense that it felt very much like a free flowing conversation centred around my resume. There were no behavioural questions and there was no "Walk me through..." question. I'm listing the questions that I remember.

*Brittany asked me to talk about my undergraduate school and my experience.
*She then moved onto the first company I worked for and asked me what was the best project I worked in and what it taught me.
*Then she asked me if I had a time machine, what is one thing I would go back and tell myself at the start of my working career
*She asked me what are few qualities in me that, I think, my recommenders would have written about.
*My ST and LT goals.
*Then we moved onto my current work ex and there were a few back and forth questions related to that (since I run a business she wanted to understand how I would manage it once I go for my MBA, how many people report to me, who has been a great influence on my working style etc.)
*Why Kenan Flagler?
*Questions for her.

She was on a tight schedule so each interview was strictly 30 mins long. Mine was 25 mins long with the last 5 mins reserved for my questions. It was a really good experience for me and if you know what you're about it should be easy. Hoping to crack this great school.

I interviewed yesterday and they said they are still reviewing applications and will send invites up until the decision date (seems like a cookie cutter response at a few schools).

I got interview invite on Mar 1 and already schedule Skype appointment. I'm in Asia so there's a time zone difference. The interview is in the morning EST, so I need a huge cup of coffee to keep me awake~.

dpatt : I think that, unlike other schools, Kenan-Flagler doesn't have a set list of questions that they need to ask in an interview. I feel they mould the conversation in realtime and thats's what makes their interviews so personable and unique. All the best for KF and congratulations on the string of admits you've received. Great job!

Mod 3 is over, which means Spring Break is here! Congrats again to all the R2 admits, and good luck to the R3. I know things are stressful, but keep busy and you'll make it.

I wanted to highlight one of the programs at Kenan-Flagler that hasn't gotten much attention and really deserves it. That is the Dean's Fellows program. "The Dean’s Fellows Program offers opportunities and experiences to hone and apply leadership skills and challenge personal growth through numerous projects and interaction with UNC faculty, staff, alumni, and distinguished guests."

The Dean's Fellows have existed for several years, but just now are getting some attention. One of the projects this year is adding information to the Kenan-Flagler website about the program. I encourage you to check it out!
