Hi Folks,
Interviewed on 03/31 for Round3 and waiting for a decision now. Compiled a list of questions from various websites to assist in my preparation. Sharing on this forum for others to benefit from
1. Introduce yourself – academic and career progression.
2. Why MBA? Why now?
3. Short term and Long term goals. Then a follow up question asking to explain the domain I plan to work in.
4. Why Cornell and how Cornell can help me achieve my goals?
5. Explain your Leadership style and experience.
6. How would I contribute to Cornell?
7. If I were to call your supervisor and ask him about you, what would be his response?
8. Finally, would you like me to convey to the Adcom anything you would like to highlight/explain in your candidacy or application?
9. What is a weakness of yours?
10. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
11. If you get into more than one school, how would you decide between them?
12. Tell me about a supervisor who influenced your career. What were the traits you liked most about his leadership, and traits you liked least?
13. Tell me about the leadership decision you are most proud of, and a mistake you made in judgement as a leader
14. I have read your resume and I see that you have done a bunch of stuff in your job. So what exactly have you been doing after graduation and what did you learn from each experience?
15. One thing you most like about your job and on thing you least like ?
16. What is the one thing you wish you knew more about your job ? Meaning an existing skill gap in your job ?
17. What immersion you’d like to take up ?
18. What clubs and courses you’d be a part of at Johnson
19. What would you do for fun at Johnson ? (I did not expect this question)
20. Tell me something that the adcom must know that is not in your resume or application ?
21. Something in your job that kept you up at night
22. Some time when you had to deal with interpersonal conflicts in a group
23. How will you contribute to Johnson outside of classroom
24. Tell me about a challenging team experience?
25. Tell me something about yourself that is not mentioned in your resume
26. What 3 qualities do you believe a leader must have? Which of these is your weakest?
27. Are you a team player? Which are the things you don’t like about working in teams?
28. What is the role you play in a team environment?
29. What have you done to change the organization where you currently work? How?
30. Most difficult professional decision you were forced to make?
31. Tell me about a time when you did not agree with your supervisor?
32. How do you deal with failure?
33. What are you reading right now?
34. What measures are you taking to ensure you are academically prepared for the rigorous coursework at Cornell?
35. What is the difference between Cornell and the other schools in your opinion?
36. How will your team mates describe you?
37. 3 adjectives you would use to describe yourself?
38. What was your most innovative solution?
39. How do you work in a difficult team situation when someone does not contribute?
40. What makes you nervous about business school?
41. What is the weakness in your application?
42. Have you reached out to anyone in your dream company post MBA to ask them if an MBA is necessary for the role?
43. If I had to condense my interview into 3 bullet points, what would those bullet points be?
