Hi there,
Well if you know that this is the ideal year for you to apply, professionally and/or personally, then go for it! If you are aiming for R2 you do want to get started right away fyi! Get your recommenders going and start brainstorming for those essays.

For scholarships, focus on a few schools outside the top 15 or so... look at Tepper, UNC Kenan-Flagler, Emory, Kelley, Olin, Georgetown... Vanderbilt, Fisher, Marshall... but again so many factors to consider... and nothing guarantees scholarships per se so don't count on that for sure.... then you can apply to 1-3 in the top 15 or so just to see what happens...

Good luck, keep us posted !

Hi there,
Welcome back! Thanks for the update. I like your recent 'lead volunteer' experience and additional overall professional experience, and I do feel your profile will be stronger this time around. I support your school list, sounds like a strong mix and list of options, with strong consulting schools as well. Do all you can to demonstrate your personality and 'people skills' to better stand out from a quant-heavy, somewhat technical crowd, and to bring to life what YOU will contribute to the class that possibly others will not. Keep us posted on how we can help and good luck!
