Please limit multimedia submissions to under 5 minutesCornell is still exploring with the creative essay format and hence they have stuck to the table of contents essay this year as well. Important to keep in mind while crafting this essay is to show originality and yet include snippets of your life that otherwise would not be visible in your resume or other essays heavy with professional details. In the words of Judi Buyers, Executive Director of Admissions & Financial Aid, this is to get deeper insight into the life story of the candidate.
So use this judiciously to highlight more personal aspects of your personality. What inspires you, motivates you. Activities that you do outside your work. What is the underlying theme / personal principles that has remained steady and connected your various life events till now.
Ensure you highlight key traits of your personality.
A more creative and out of the box presentation will impress the admissions committee. However you should choose a medium that best suits your personality and the story you want to convey
