14 ft/6 sec=7/3 fps

Loosing horse cross the finish after winning horse crosses in 6 secs and the distance loosing horse traveled is 7+7 feet (becoz it says the difference btw loosing horse and winning horse dist is 2 lengths = 2* 7 )

Speed of loosing horse = 14 / 6 = 7/3 feet per second Ans : D

The gap that losing second place horse travelled in last 6 seconds = 2 lengths = 2*7 = 14

Speed of Second place horse = Distance / Time = 14/6 = 7/3 feet per second

Answer: Option D

Starting from the moment the winning horse’s nose crosses the finish line, the second-place horse travels 2 lengths (i.e. 7 x 2 = 14 feet) in 6 seconds. Therefore, the second-place horse is traveling at a rate of:

14/6 = 7/3 feet per second.

Answer: D
