Potentially a silly question... [#permalink] New post 22 Apr 2012, 10:48
Might be the fact that the test day is getting closer that is making me ask potentially silly questions... But from people who have recently done the GMAT would you say the OG12 and GMATprep questions are similar to the test? I've finished both so currently spending time reviewin hard questions and trying to solve them faster and smarter... But was wondering if it is worth it.. Ie if the questions that appear on the test are radically different - or have different tricks so to say.

Thanks a lot for the help!!!

OG12 and GMATprep are retired questions form the real GMAT. They are as close to the 'real thing' as you can possibly get. It's definitely not a waste of your time to study the best questions out there. That is, if you are prepared to do practice questions b/c you've been studying the concepts and understand the concepts involved in the questions.

I completely agree with the previous post, just realize that the GMAT reserves the right to throw things at you that you didn't remember seeing anywhere...

That said, the GMAC materials are the closest to the real thing. Use the OG 12, download the GMATPrep software (practice CATs) and check out their other tools like GMAT Focus.
