A. President of Venezuela during the mid-1950s, the country’s economy flourished under Marcos Perez Jimenez.

B. Venezuela’s economy flourished during the mid-1950s under President Marcos Perez Jimenez.

C. Under Marcos Perez Jimenez, president of the country during the mid-1950s, Venezuela’s economy flourished.

D. The country’s economy flourished under the president of Venezuela during the mid-1950s, Marcos Perez Jimenez.

E. During the mid-1950s, the country’s economy flourished under Marcos Perez Jimenez, president of Venezuela.

I pick B.

A makes no sense --> modifier error.

C does not mention Venezuela; it only mentions Venezuela's economy --> which means that 'president of the country' does not make sense.

This is interesting.

I chose B but OA is C. However, when I have gone through the OE it says B is correct, but It chose C. ???

I guess we need to put this question to the challenge team, but before that, lets solve it.
