Press release: A comprehensive review evaluating the medical studies done up to the present time has found no reason to think that drinking coffee in normal amounts harms the coffee-drinker's heart. So, coffee drinkers can relax and enjoy their beverage—it is safe to drink coffee.
Which one of the following points to a weakness in the reasoning in the press release's argument?
(A) The review was only an evaluation of studies and did not itself undertake to study patients.
(B) The health of the heart is not identical with the general health of the body.
(C) Coffee drinkers might choose to eat along with their coffee foods containing substances that harm the heart.
(D) Other beverages besides coffee might contain stimulants that have some effect on the heart.
(E) Drinking unusually large amounts of coffee could be caused by stress that itself directly harms the heart.

I believe the answer should be A. The conclusion is based on the review of medical studies and not from studies conducted on the patient.

B) because the conclusion says that it is safe to drink coffee because it causes no harm to the heart. Although it may not harm the heart, coffee could harm the body in general. Thus saying that it is "safe" is not appropriate

Now that I think of it, I kind of agree with you folks. I believe the author is exaggerating about the health of the person drinking coffee. A comes close but one can also say that the report might just be right about the heart. On the first look I thought B is ot of scope.
