Other then 256 all other numbers are prime ( product of number itself and 1, but 1 is not prime)

By the way, 1 is also a factor of 256. With all respect, I think the problem is not properly worded. It should ask for the largest number in the group that is not prime, not necessarily under 500 (for example, 17 * 17 = 289 is under 500 as well but doesn´t appear in the answer choices).
