I like the Kaplan math workbook
, particular for "poets" who need a comprehensive review of basic math. I like the way it is sectioned, and I like the way it presents problems for each section in increasing difficulty.
My only complaint is that is doesn't have a section on probability, though that does not detract from its value as a nicely organized basic review.
I often recommend that my students work through the book before spending the big bucks on private tuturing so that they can get the most value for their money.
