Hi there,

I was hoping that someone could give me some feedback on my profile

GMAT : 690
Age : 24
Work ex : 4 years - Currently Global Sales & Marketing(Europe) for a Technology Services company (PLM+ENG Services + Engineering & Manufacturing Tech Products) - ( Marketing & Sales Strategy support for 5 Europe sales directors and AVP sales Europe + New Business Generation activities (Result:900 k USD closed & 2 M USD outlook in 1 year) ; Prior - Marketing Exec - Focus on Change Management(post aquisition) for the Software Services divison of the 3rd largest PC vendor in the world + As a side project helped integrate the 2 companies CSR programs worldwide including new partnerships and roll out of a tool to track volunteer hours
Under- Grad - BBA (I.T) [Business + I.T] ; Symbiosis
Extra Curriculars - 4 years of volunteering at the same organization . Spear headed various programs all revolving around education(both formal and informal)
Selected to represent India at EU conference in Germany based on this work
Worked for UNICEF during one summer at college

I plan to apply to Tepper. More specifically interested in its tech leadership program. I would like to work with tech products post my MBA and would like to see myself in a position to define the tech vision for similar companies in the long term. It seems like a superb fit considering my under-grad, work experience and future goals

Please note that the age and work ex have been counted until Aug,2013

Could you please provide your feedback

Thanks in advance!

Hi Anirudh,

You have average GMAT Score and a remarkable corporate exposure. Per your Profile and GMAT score I would say that you have fair chances of getting admit in Tepper. I would also recommend you to target Cornell, Darden, Michigan Ross and Duke etc. As the average GMAT Score for these B Schools fall in between 690-710 range.

You are in perfect stage of your career and around 4-5 years of work experience is what most B Schools look for.

However you would need to cleverly prepare yourself for questions like why you had a low GMAT score, the reasons you want to switch from sales and marketing to management, your rationale behind applying for a specific B-School, so on and so forth.

The next step for you is to focus more on your application essays & recommendations for these Business Schools.

Hence it would be highly advisable to seek assistance from professional consultants for guidance on preparing a good letters of recommendations and get your essays/scholarship essays evaluated before sending it out along with your application.

Also if you happen to be based out of either Delhi, Bangalore or Mumbai, you can attend a MBA workshop by alumnus of various top global B-Schools during the dates mentioned in this link http://www.general-ed.com/workshops-and-seminars

Feel free to post any other query or concern that you might have.
