* Feedback on target schools? Is this the right basket?
Reach (Stanford, Haas, Sloan)
Match (Kellogg)

* How to explain low undergrad gpa? I did worse towards the end which is harder to explain. Basically due to family problems but would it be inappropriate to go into that?
* What are my chances at scholarships with low undergrad gpa? Any other international student financial aid advice? All/Most schools I'm applying to have to have private loan options with no-US cosigner

Hi taptele,

Thanks for posting. You have a very strong candidacy. Regarding the list of schools, the three you have selected (Stanford, Haas, and Sloan) have great reputations in entrepreneurship and technology. Regarding other programs, Babson also is a program with a great reputation in entrepreneurship.

Regarding addressing your low GPA, I recommend you read this case study of how another candidate addressed his GPA and was accepted into a top program: ... ies/case5/

For scholarships, if you are accepted into an MBA program it is something we recommend you speak to the financial aid office about. There is certainly no harm in asking (this is if you are not given a scholarship in your acceptance).

Best Regards,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
