My cause for worry is that I do not have enough quality of WE. Should I wait another year? I don't have any subordinates who report to me. I do not have a promotion to show for as I switched jobs when i was to be promoted. I most probably will be promoted next year beginning.
All that said I will still get glowing recommendations.
Is it a weakness to be an applicant with mostly technical experience?

Request you to please evaluate my profile and advise if I the list seems realistic and if I need to add/remove some schools.

Appreciate your help

Thanks

Expert's post
Thanks for all the detail in your profile--it actually helps to know what your post MBA plans are and often this info is left out of profiles for some reason. I actually think you have a good profile overall--one that could potentially set you up for differentiation from your fellow Indian applicants (with whom you will be compared for admissions of course). The reasoning is the consistency and overall theme that you have woven throughout your career--even all the way back to UG. You call it technical experience, but it's what I would say is more industrial. Industrial experience is more rare to find and having insight into the manufacturing process, and even contributing to it by designing assembly lines etc. will be both unusual and memorable (and therefore valuable) to the admissions committees.

What you need to make sure you do in the application process is to connect the dots and make sure this theme is solidly represented throughout your application. Having a clear vision for your future that is well connected to your past is a safer bet for b-schools than someone who has a loosley connected or worse an unconnected background. What you offer to your classmates is a perspective on supply chain and industry that most learn only from books. I think your school selections are reasonable--just make sure your application is well written and compelling.
