If you want to go to b-school next year, you'll need to readjust your expectations.
Right now, there's too many things going against you for these top schools: your age, your experience (tons of experience in a quant/analytical job function), and a master degree in a related discipline (i.e. your degree in marketing is a close enough cousin to the MBA). Again, if you want to apply to the top 8 schools like Sloan, HBS, Wharton, Stanford, Kellogg, Columbia, Tuck, Booth - just know that it's a long shot. You're up against more than enough applicants who will likely be admitted over you at these top 8 schools.
It has nothing to do with your GMAT (in case you are going to ask whether a higher score will matter).
Stretch: Yale, NYU
Sweet spot: choose 3-4 from Tepper, Georgetown, Texas, USC, UNC, Maryland, Emory, Purdue, Indiana
An alternative would be to enroll in a part-time program. If you're based in NYC, then go for NYU's part-time program.
Thanks for the reply. Age and experience... What a killer. I can't turn back the clock and I can't change what I did.
Long shot or not, wish me luck for finding the right gun.
