B.Tech: Telecomm, Score:68% undergrad
GMAT:630. Could retake depending on suggestion provided.
Work ex:3.7yrs as of 2013 as Network Consulting Engineer

Nationality: Indian

Work summary:
Adaptable to ever changing customer requirements.
Received outstanding performance award for a critical project
Received <name of company> achievement award for outstanding customer satisfaction
Had initial hiccups in the job but eventually came to be recognized as a highly successful employee.

International Experience:
Traveled to US for 3 months for work.

Additional activities:
Represented company in external events. 
Leading an employee support group - Being the voice of 53% of employees in my organization.
Volunteered at GLBT film festival
Represented Org at external LGBT events and hosted an event at the workplace, amidst the sensitive ness around the topic.
Kicked off a diversity reverse mentoring project involving SVPs.
Building an employee support group for GLBT at workplace. 


This company is a highly reputed organization on the lines of yahoo, google, Microsoft etc.

Hello prabshan, thanks for your question.

What does your undergraduate GPA equate to in a US system?

I think you already know that you are part of a highly competitive demographic in the MBA applicant pool. Your 630 GMAT score is going to be a significant obstacle in gaining admission to top US programs.

On the other hand, you seem to have some good fodder for interesting essays. Demonstrating your leadership performance and potential will have be the strength of your application.

If you are aiming for top US programs, I’d recommend retaking the GMAT.
